Laziness, an update2020-09-28 02:01:08
Well it's been two and a half weeks since my last post. In that time I have went on a bunch of runs, finished a new app, completed some online courses, started to reign in my diet, produced a new video and really upped my game at work.
These big turnaround from my last post really goes to show the compounding effect of little changes. Forcing myself to take those first two runs started me towards enjoying running. Last week I went for a run every single day; I was sore every single day, but it was worth it for the satisfaction of what I had achieved.
The next thing for me to focus on is finding out how to sustain this forward momentum. I have a good thing going with my work ethic in physical activity, work, and personal projects. I suspect that the trick to maintaining this is finding the balance between relaxing enough that I don't burn myself out, and not relaxing so much that I fall back into old habits.
I think it's a big help that I have switched to an 8AM - 4PM shift at work. This makes sure that I am waking up early and starting my day powerfully. I think it is also beneficial for me to get outside in the morning for a bit of exercise (as I have the past day or two) but I'm trying not to go too crazy on the self improvement flex.
For now I am going to focus on pacing myself with what I do. I will try to keep this blog updated with how I'm doing, whenever I remember that is!
